Insurance Options
There are many options available to students who want to obtain health insurance.
Madison College does not endorse any one plan in particular and encourages students to explore all of the available options.
ehealthinsurance.com provides information about various health insurance plans, compare premiums, deductibles, office co-pays, and more.
Under The Affordable Care Act, a health insurance marketplace or exchange allows you to compare and shop for health insurance. For more information visit healthcare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596.
If you have little or no income you may qualify for Wisconsin's Badger Care Plus program. Visit them or call 1-888-794-5556.
F-1 visa-holding international students are required to have a specific group health insurance plan coordinated through CIE.

Billing Information
Madison College student patients visiting the GHC Community Clinic fall into one of the following three categories. To better understand the process please read the information below.
Have No Insurance
The bill should be covered by Madison College if the service/procedure is included in the Madison College service agreement with Group Health Cooperative (GHC). You may, however, receive a bill if Madison College does not cover the entire service/procedure.
Have GHC Insurance
If you have services done you will only receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). An EOB is not a bill. You will receive a bill from GHC if a particular service/procedure is not covered or if you owe a copay/deductible/coinsurance with your GHC insurance. Have Other Insurance
After the service/procedure is billed to your insurance company you will receive an EOB from your own insurance company. You will only receive a bill from GHC if a particular service/procedure is not covered by your insurance or Madison College. Contact GHC Medical Billing Department at (608) 251-4138 for any questions regarding a bill.
