Each Madison College challenge course program is customized and consists of a unique combination of activities designed to fulfill your group's specific goals. Multiple program length options are offered in order to provide each group with a schedule that fits its interests and needs.
- Customized programming means that we build each program based upon the wants and needs of each group. Looking for a highly physical challenge, we can do that. Looking for an experience focused on group based initiatives that keep the level of physical challenge to a minimum, we can do that. We take the time to work with you so that we can ensure you get the experience you want for your group.
- The high ropes course and rock climbing walls are typically only offered during half day or longer programs in order to allow for adequate time to complete preliminary activities prior to utilizing the high elements.

Satellite programs - 1 Hour - 3 Hours
We will travel to you and provide programming at your location to help reduce time and cost traveling:
- Encourage your group
- Encourage Communication
- Build Relationships
Satellite programs can be customized to meet your needs and desired outcomes.
Short programs - 30 minutes to 1 hour
Need a way to kick off your meeting or event in a way that will get people interacting with each other? Looking for a way to pick up the energy mid-way through a meeting? Want to end things with a high impact experience that reinforces the message that you have been delivering? Our short programs offer a way to:
- Engage your group
- Encourage interpersonal interactions
- Build energy
Short programs can be offered indoors or outside and consist of ice breaker initiatives that get group members interacting with one another, moving and setting a tone for involvement.
Two hour programs
Two hour programs begin with ice breaker initiatives and then add group problem solving initiatives. This combination allows group members to engage with one another in a purposeful but light hearted way before going deeper into challenges that emphasize the value of collaboration and active participation. Our 2-hour programs help groups:
- Focus the efforts of the group and individual group members
- Emphasize that team success and the importance of individual contributions are obtained through a process that can be learned and consciously put into practice
- Introduce tools for dialog, the sharing of ideas and group processes for collaboration
Group members are typically split into subgroups of approximately 12 people who work with a facilitator throughout their experience in order to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to share their ideas and play an active role in the group's efforts to overcome the challenges presented. Programs can be offered outdoors or inside.
Half-day programs - 4 hours
With additional time allotted to utilizing a longer progression of activities, groups involved in our half-day programs are able to undertake multiple challenges, reflect upon their successes and failures, and implement change in order to improve their efforts. Groups undertake ice breaker, introductory and advanced initiatives. Half-day programs also commonly include low ropes elements and include high elements. Half-day programs:
- Encourage individuals to move beyond of their typical role within the group in order to expand their mindset and contribution to the team
- Provide the opportunity for individuals and the group to face challenges in a supportive and fun environment while maintaining a sense of personal responsibility, mutual support and focus on what creates success
- Build trust by offering and accepting physical, social and emotional support from fellow group members
Half day programs can be offered all at once or during two 2-hour sessions. By including a greater level of complexity and physicality, groups have the opportunity to explore the inner workings of the relationships that exist between group members and individuals have multiple opportunities to explore new roles for themselves within the group.
Full-day Programs - 8 hours
Full-day programs incorporate all of the components of our shorter offerings while offering more complex group initiatives and a choice of our high elements. With additional time to progress through multiple layers of activities participants are more clearly able to see personal and group growth, reflect upon how this growth can be incorporated into their lives at home, school or work and experiment with new possibilities for themselves as a member of the group. Full-day programs:
- Explore multiple models of leadership, problem solving, goal setting and communication skills
- Prepare participants for the transference of the experience to daily life and help them make a plan for how to ensure this occurs
- Offer your group the opportunity for a robust experience that establishes a basis for continued growth
While requiring a greater commitment of time, full-day programs offer the opportunity that many groups need to work through barriers to honest and productive interactions. A willingness to take ownership for choices made and the outcomes of those choices can be hard for many groups to achieve but developing the ability to do so is an indicator of future success and our full-day programs help groups gain the skills and insight required to fulfill this goal.
